The copying allegation

On 21 September 2026, independent developer Rado Klasa publicly accused Golden Horn Studios of copying his in-development game 1,000,000 Potatoes and of using AI. IGN reported his statements and the studio’s denial the same day. The studio said the game originated independently and offered to show project files; no legal filing, store delisting or platform action has been reported.

This site does not take a position on the allegation. It is a dispute between two developers, not an adjudicated finding, and nothing here should be read as calling either party a thief.

What we do not claim

  • The 60,000-potato quota is a player report, not a developer statement.
  • The 3–5 hour playtime is a community range, not an official figure.
  • Upgrade prices, drop rates and peel tolerances are not published; we do not print invented values.
  • There is no official website for the game. The Steam page is the only official source.
  • We do not claim the game was or was not copied, and we do not repeat the allegation as fact.
